I actually checked back with the Durham Herald on Sunday and, apparently, the following day an angry mob confronted the SUV, which was sitting, remorselessly, on the street near the scene. After beating the unfeeling monster with bats, they set it ablaze and then hung it from a tree. Good riddance, I say.
